TOP 25 REPLACEMENT VAPE BATTERIES

VAPE BATTERIES | TYPES | BRANDS

510 and eGo battery types, along with variable and sub-Ohm options. We also carry high drain (18650, 18350, 18500 and 26650)

18650 – MOST STANDARD

The 18650 battery is the most common battery used for most vaping devices.

Low to mid-range powered devices use single, dual, and even triple 18650 battery set-ups for powering the device. These are the industry standard battery that most manufacturers use for their vaping devices.

26650 – HIGHER POWERED

These are shorter and usually wider in circumference compared to the more standard 18650 battery.

The 26650 batteries are reserved for larger vaping devices including high end mods and powerful competition mechanical mod vape devices.

BATTERY mAh LEVELS

Battery Ratings — Not All Battery Cells Are Created Equally

Lithium batteries are measured and rated by voltage, amperage and storage capacity. For vaping purposes all batteries in use are rated for a Voltage of 3.7v. This rating is the nominal or average voltage meaning the battery is considered fully charged at 4.2v and considered dead at 3.2v.

Then you have the Amperage rating which determines the maximum continuous discharge rate of the battery. This is can be measured a few ways but usually a number followed by either an “A” or a “C” (15C or 30A).

The storage capacity is measured in milliamp hours indicated by a number and “mAh” (2500mAh). The higher the mAh the longer your battery should last. It is absolutely crucial that you do not exceed the your batteries limits if you do it is most likely that your battery will fail possibly resulting in a fire, venting, other damage to your device, or worse yet it could injure you or someone else.

PROTECTED AND UN-PROTECTED BATTERIES

Protected batteries have internal circuitry and other protections which prevent overcharging, over discharging, and temperature stabilization. Protected batteries are safer to use and come standard in many high end box mods, starter kits, and vape pods.

HIGH DRAIN BATTERIES

Higher drain batteries are used in high powered devices, sub-ohm, mech-mods, and high powered box mods. These are usually not the kind of batteries used in starter kits and vape pods.

LOW DRAIN BATTERIES

These are the opposite of high drain batteries and meant to last many times longer between charges and to be used in lowered power devices such as starter kits and vape pod devices.

OHM TESTERS

Ohm testers are an essential item for building your own coils, especially higher powered and more complex coil builds with various wattage and gauge level requirements.

BATTERY CHARGERS

CHARGERS: the best and safest chargers are “smart chargers”.

Smart chargers typically have multiple charging modes, safety features like over-voltage protection, over-discharge protection. Aside from various safety features some also identify Li-ion, Ni-MH and Ni-Cd batteries and select the right charging mode for you.

It’s important not to overcharge your batteries above 4.25v or over discharge your batteries. Although most batteries for vaping can be discharged down to 2.8v or until they fail. For safety reasons it is never recommended to discharge them below 3.2v.

SAFETY TIPS

Tips for Battery Safety

  • Always carry batteries in a battery case or your device.
  • Never carry or store your batteries loose or near metallic objects.
  • Always keep batteries dry and away from water.
  • Never expose your batteries to an open flame.
  • Visually inspect your batteries regularly. If the wrapper is damaged in any way DO NOT USE IT. It is important to either replace the battery or
  • take the battery to a shop to have it re-wrapped.
  • Do not overcharge or over discharge your batteries. If a batter has been over charged/discharged DO NOT USE IT and properly discard it.
  • Do not charge your batteries unattended or while sleeping.
  • Do NOT store loose batteries in pockets or purses
  • NEVER remove the battery wrapper unless rewrapping
  • Use plastic cases to store extra batteries
  • Never use or charge a hot or extremely cold battery
  • Do not push the limits of your battery
  • Do not force batteries if they don’t comfortably fit
  • Discard or rewrap batteries with damaged wrappers
  • Always use trusted and reliable brands and retailers
  • Never bargain shop for batteries
  • Recycle batteries when it’s time to discard
