Police in Millcreek Township and Union City are attempting to identify two females in their investigations into vape store burglaries in their communities early the morning of Sept. 12.
Police revealed their investigations and their belief that the crimes are connected in a news release Millcreek police sent on Thursday.
Millcreek police said the burglary they are investigating happened at Erie Vapor Cabana, 5067 Peach St. Suspects broke into the building and took some items, Detective Adam Hardner said.
The Union City Police Department is investigating a burglary at Hopper’s Retro Gaming & Vaping, 128 S. Main St. The business was entered by force and was ransacked, and a variety of items were taken from the store, Police Chief David Pernice said Thursday.
Union City police are additionally looking into a likely connection between the Hopper’s burglary and a retail theft at a County Fair store in the borough around the same time as the burglary, Pernice said.
Investigators said the two females they are attempting to identify appear to be in their late teens or early 20s and were observed driving a white Honda Accord sedan. Anyone with information that could assist police in the two investigations is asked to call Hardner at 838-9515, Ext. 460, or Pernice at 438-3441.
