We have a very similar law in Oregon. They assume that you would only have enough for an ounce, once trimmed and dried, in a smokable state at any time. So, you could have plants on a rotation and harvest every 2 months, as long as your harvest is not more than an ounce once processed and assuming you have alrasdy used the ounce from your last harvest.

You can also keep the rest of your harvest in a “not usable state”, like not trimmed and still on the branches, and that doesn’t count towards the ounce you can have.
