Magic mushrooms began to sprout in a man’s veins in the USA after taking an infused tea. Most of us drink our tea, which has not caused a case of organ failure. But, that cannot be said in this circumstance. But, how do magic mushrooms grow in a man’s blood – or cow patties? Nebraska Working on Cannabis Ballot Initiative

Many states in the U.S. are joining the procession of legislative wins for cannabis that have been sweeping the nation, but Nebraska has never been a very likely contender, as they haven’t really made any strides in the cannabis realm so far. However, a state senator is currently drafting a ballot measure that could change that. Already on deck for 2022 is the Nebraska Medical Marijuana Initiative, which could appear as an initiated constitutional amendment in November of 2022 if all goes according to plan for cannabis advocates. If either of these potential initiatives pass, the Nebraska Constitution would be […]

Governor of Nebraska Weighs In On Legalized Cannabis in South Dakota

Even as historically conservative states have embraced legalization, reefer madness is alive and well in Nebraska. At least with the state’s governor, Pete Ricketts, who on Tuesday once again sounded the alarm on something that a growing majority of the country is cool with. “Well, we’ve certainly seen in other states like Colorado when you pass legalization of recreational, as well as medicinal, marijuana that you see an increase in traffic fatalities that are caused by marijuana use and an increase in a number of other things such as young people getting a hold of the marijuana,” Ricketts said, as […]

Nebraska Medical Cannabis Advocates Try Again For Legalization in 2022: Legalization Watch – Cannabis Business Times

In 1971, philosopher John Rawls came up with the “Veil of Ignorance.” The concept is pretty simple: You start with the idea that you know nothing of your circumstances at birth—wealth, gender, education, etc.—and then ask yourself if you would be ok with the current social contract in which you live. Let’s conduct this thought experiment for the current cannabis industry: Imagine you do not know anything about your current situation—capital, abilities, partners, etc. Would you sign up to make a go of it in today’s cannabis industry with its poorly implemented regulations, federal illegality, non-experts peddling their expertise, and […]

Nebraska Activists Unveil New Medical Marijuana Initiative For 2022 Following Supreme Court Defeat

Cool, now the court will make sure that no one can grow or distribute it. This wasn’t a legal problem, but a political one. The reasoning of the majority opinion was a farce; it was decided that way for the purpose of keeping the initiative off of the ballot in order to suppress Democratic-leaving independent voters. Nebraska Supreme Court declines to rule on prosecution of CBD cases – Blair Enterprise Publishing

The Nebraska Supreme Court ruled to dismiss charges against the owners of a Herman convenience store, but declined to provide direction on how to prosecute cases involving cannabidiol, also known as CBD products. The opinion, written by Chief Justice Mike Heavican, was released Friday. Washington County Attorney Scott Vander Schaaf and defense attorney Mallory Hughes made their arguments before the court Sept. 4. Vander Schaaf filed an appeal in July 2019 after District Court Judge John E. Samson dismissed a case against two Washington County residents accused of illegally distributing cannabidiol at DJ’s Vapes, 408 Main St., Herman, for a […]
