A1 Vape and Botanicals is the newest business to come to Lincoln County.
Owner John Kavanagh said his shop, located at 151 Moscow Springs Plaza in Moscow Mills, is unlike most like his, because of his own story about vaping.
“I’ve always been passionate about vaping,” said Kavanaugh, who is a native of Troy. “I quit smoking because of it – and eventually quit vaping – because the nicotine craving went away for me.”
A1 Vape and Botanicals has a wide selection of vape pens, e-liquid, accessories and much more. It also has an interesting business model: for customers to quit smoking by vaping, then eventually quit vaping, like Kavanagh did.
When asked if it could hurt sales, Kavanagh said he wasn’t worried about that, and felt he could be successful.
“Eventually, I would (be successful),” he said. “I would like to see everybody quit smoking, because it’s a pretty nasty habit, then after a while, quit vaping.
That’s my opinion, and mine alone, and that’s a personal choice to quit vaping.”
A1 Vape and Botanicals is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and is closed on Sundays.
